18 Reasons Why Last Night's WWE Raw Was An Absolute Mess

8. The Revival Losing... Already

Heavy Machinery are the bushwhackers now and it sucks bye

The Revival vs. Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa was a neat, tidy, and ultra-condensed version of one of their old TakeOver classics. It was a good match, and, in a bubble, probably the best thing on Raw. The problem is that it's impossible to view these things in said bubble, because everything surrounding the bout (storyline considerations in particular) was awful.

There's no argument for The Revival losing clean to a couple of developmental wrestlers just seven days after finally capturing the gold. None whatsoever. These teams have history, but that means nothing to main roster audiences. In their eyes, Dash and Dawson lost to a couple of rookies, and that's the lens we must view these things through when our beloved NXT favourites make it to the Raw or SmackDown.

... and if you don't want to beat Gargano and Ciampa on their first main roster night, how about not booking this match? It isn't difficult.

That WWE would give The Revival such a big moment last week only to yank it away seven days later is disheartening, but hardly surprising. Back in the bin you go, boys...
