18 Reasons Why Last Night's WWE Raw Was An Absolute Mess

4. Sasha & Bayley Get Messy

A third-hour in-ring promo saw Bayley and Sasha Banks make a grand entrance with their new WWE Women's Tag Team Championships, then the announcement that they'd be defending the belts on Raw, SmackDown, and NXT. A good move, and one that needed to be made, but the segment wasn't particularly well-worked.

There was a distinct lack of energy to Banks and Bayley's performances. Theirs was a huge, cathartic, historic victory, but it wasn't reflected in the follow-up. They seemed grateful, but not excited; happy, but far from fired up. That's a shame, and that it took them too long to get to the actual announcement didn't help matters either.

Nia Jax and Tamina eventually interrupted, becoming The Boss & Hug Connection's first challengers in the process. Let's hope the popular champions don't fall at this monstrous first hurdle. The internet will be insufferable.
