18 Things We Learned From Enzo & Big Cass On The Steve Austin Show
9. Thoughts On Bret Hart
This prompts Austin to ask for the guys' opinions on a man he considers a mentor, friend and one of the greatest workers of all-time. Steve says that some people are overly critical of Hart and while it's subjective, he thinks he was phenomenal.
Enzo says that he and Michaels are two of the best who ever did it - and Austin jokes that if he didn't say that he would have tossed him through the window - and as a kid he was a big Bret mark. Amore talks about how it was every young fan's dream to sit ringside and get a pair of shades from The Hitman.
Steve then tells a funny story about when he was a youngster watching a wrestling show on TV where Dusty Rhodes was being beaten bloody by his opponent. He kept asking his mom why the armed security guard didn't run into the ring to help The American Dream. Thankfully mom kept it kayfabe and rather than turn little Steve's world upside down she just shrugged him off.
Enzo does admit that when Bret and HBK began their heated feud he was no longer a Hart fan, and confesses to Austin that when he ended Shawn's career at WrestleMania XIV he didn't want anything to do with Stone Cold either.
