Mick takes us back to 2009 when Shane walked away from WWE and asks if it was a decision that he just woke up to one morning and made, and he said it was something that had been building for a while.

He mentions differences of opinion between father and son, such as between Vince Sr. and Jr. and names one specific one being his father's decision to bring in Hulk Hogan and make him the champion. The elder McMahon was strongly against it thinking it would be impossible to get heat on a champion his size.

Shane says that Vince wasn't open enough to his ideas for the company, and to summarize why he left, he says their working relationship stopped being a collaboration and stopped being fun. He wasn't going to allow their business relationship to affect their personal lives and that's when he knew he had to walk away.

He also wanted to know if he could stand on his own two feet or if he would always be the son of the boss, and he's very proud of the things he accomplished while away from the company, adding that it's given him an amazing look into the business because he was able to back away and look at it with fresh eyes.

"In the business currently, a lot of the creative team - and Vince for that matter - sometimes you can't see the forest for the trees. So having a very fresh perspective of what the company, in my view really needs and listening to the fans now, it needed a little boost."
