Foley notes that two men who he's always heard had a big influence on Shane were Andre The Giant and "Superstar" Billy Graham. Shane confirms, adding that he always wanted to be Andre's tag team partner and win the championships with him. He said he would always tell his father he was going to grow up big like Andre rather than small like Vince.

As far as Graham goes, Shane always loved his entire act, from his gift of gab to his look and massive amount of charisma. "Superstar" would hang out with him in the locker room and spend time with him, and Shane looked up to him for it.

This leads Shane to talk about how badly the guys would rib him, saying he'd get locked in lockers and stretched, and Don Muraco even stuffed him in an oil drum and kicked him down stairs.

He says that incidents like that are an education in a sense, and they teach you to be tough. He credits that learning process as invaluable training and why he's never wanted to quit anything in his life.
