The Rockers are often considered one of the greatest tag teams to never win the WWE World Tag Team Titles, but that's not the whole truth of the situation. The fact is that The Rockers actually did win the titles once, but it was covered up and never acknowledged by the company.

On October 30, 1990, The Rockers took on WWE World Tag Team Champions The Hart Foundation in a two out of three falls match in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The Rockers won the match and the belts, but the contest was a sloppy affair marred by a broken top rope. On November 3, they defended the titles against Power and Glory.

After the Power and Glory match, WWE decided not to show The Rockers' title win on TV. The belts were subsequently returned to The Hart Foundation and the change was never publicly acknowledged.

Why didn't the title change stick? Michaels claimed that The Hart Foundation politicked to keep the belts, but the accepted explanation is that Jim Neidhart was about to leave WWE, then the two sides came to an agreement.
