18 Things You Might Have Missed From Last Night’s WWE SmackDown
5. That Was Daniel Bryan’s First Triple Threat Match Since ‘Mania XXX
According to Tom Phillips, that SmackDown headliner was Daniel Bryan's first Triple Threat match since WrestleMania XXX over four years ago. That's right: Bryan hasn't worked a three-way in the company since beating Randy Orton and Batista to become WWE Champion in 2014.
It's also something WWE should have made a bigger deal out of. Bryan was in there with two larger men at 'Mania, and yet he somehow pulled out the win. On SmackDown, both Joe and Cass had the size advantage, so it made sense to tell the same story.
Credit to Phillips for doing his homework.
