Before Daniel Bryan's in-ring return at WrestleMania 34, WWE's YouTube account showed him warming up for the match by running through some repeats of his rope-scaling backflip spot in a training ring. Predictably, Bryan nailed it.

He didn't on SmackDown.

Bryan's left leg slipped between the middle and top ropes, and he couldn't quite get the purchase to push himself backwards into a flip. Seeing the danger, Samoa Joe rushed in and gave his peer a boost that enabled him to roll over Joe's back to safety.

Lord only knows what might have happened had Joe not spotted Bryan's slip.
