18 Things You Might Have Missed From WWE Backlash 2018

9. Bobby Roode Didn't Sell His Throat Injury

Wait a minute: on Raw, Bobby Roode sold his neck and throat like he was in serious trouble. His match against Elias was even thrown out by the ref, such were the concerns over Bobby's health.

At Backlash, he was singing "Glorious" like nothing had happened, smiling without a care in the world and partying with No Way Jose, Titus Worldwide and New Day like he was having the time of his life. What was the point of the throat angle then?

If Roode wasn't going to sell any ill effects and appear goofy in a throwaway comedy angle on the pay-per-view anyway, then the story had no purpose. Credit to Corey Graves for at least referencing the throat gimmick when WWE's writers didn't.
