19 More Draft Picks Confirmed On WWE Talking Smack!
WWE has given the midcard a little bit of a shake up. Do you think it has worked?
A further 19 WWE Superstars were drafted on Talking Smack! this Saturday.
With the draft seemingly over stacking the already superior Smackdown roster, this supplementary draft leant heavily on stacking the RAW roster with more bodies. Already struggling to fill three hours with worthwhile content, and with the focus clearly on the blue brand, let’s hope that some these stars will be given ample time to shine - although, let’s not hold our collective breath.
To recap all of these moves, the following names had their immediate futures cemented on this most recent Talking Smack outing:
Drafted to RAW:
Akira Tozawa
Alpha Academy (Otis & Chad Gable)
Apollo Crews & Commander Azeez
Doudrop
Drake Maverick
John Morrison
Nia Jax
Reggie (24/7 Champion)
R-Truth
T-Bar
Zelina Vega
Drafted to Smackdown:
Aliyah
Drew Gulak
Mace
Mansoor
Mustafa Ali
Toni Storm
Although none of these draft picks are exactly earth-shattering, there are a few interesting trades.
With RK-Bro a clear babyface act, it would be good to see the Alpha Academy step up to face them, and the idea of Riddle vs. Chad Gable is certainly mouth watering. Apollo Crews has been lost in the shuffle since his underwhelming IC Title run and he would make a fresh challenger to Damian Priest’s US Championship.
Drew Gulak seemingly being moved away from the 24/7 belt can only be a positive, however we won’t expect too much. Finally, splitting the final remnants of the disastrous Retribution up is a great idea, with Mace moving to Smackdown – will we finally get Dominik Dijakovic back on our screens? Hopefully he hasn’t been too hampered by the God awful T-Bar nonsense.
The Draft concludes this Monday on RAW, and hopefully we get a little more of a shake up to make things a little more interesting.
