19 Nastiest WWE Breakups
10. Sable
The lesson of Sable is this: don't hoist in non-wrestlers who just want to be famous and push them to the moon. The wrestling business has always been unkind to outsiders, and Sable was no exception. Meeting her in a meeting with her then-husband Marc Mero, Vince McMahon was instantly taken aback by Sable's beauty and offered her a role in the company.
As Mero's valet, Sable almost instantly became more popular than her husband and was eventually broken off as an act of her own. As a "wrestler" (to put generously), Sable was the female face of the early Attitude Era, giving WWE a bombshell sex symbol to trot out weekly.
Unfortunately, this fame got to Sable's head, and given she was never interested in being part of the wrestling business, her attitude got increasingly difficult. As a result, the boys apparently treated her like hot garbage. Thanks to that treatment (and apparently, she was hungry for more money), WWE and Sable hit splitsville in 1999. Unfortunately, that wasn't the end of the saga, as Sable would slap the company with a whopping 100 million dollar sexual harassment lawsuit.
No one knows the full details, as the two sides settled out of court, but Sable continues to be a cautionary tale of dragging a fish out of water.
