Jericho mentions that for about the last year and a half of Chris's life he began noticing a change in his friend. He recalls how many of his colleagues referred to Benoit as "Houdini" due to his tendency to disappear, and he also called him "The Loch Ness Monster" because he would surface and reach out, but if you missed contact you wouldn't hear from him for a while. He wants to know if Sandra noticed an increase in the behavior as well.

She says that she definitely did, saying that she'd get a random text from him but would be unable to reach him in return, and Nancy would just brush it off as Chris being Chris.

However, the main difference she witnessed was a sense of paranoia for his family and a feeling that they weren't safe. Benoit would constantly be checking the alarm at his home, drive different routes to his gym, switch cars frequently, etc.

Chris had previously been fairly laid back about that kind of thing so when it started happening it stood out to her.
