Sandra believes that Chris was pushing himself an awful lot at work, trying to get the push of being a top guy, and like a lot of wrestlers he was beginning to feel his age and was worried what the future held once his in-ring career was over.

He had no skills outside of wrestling, with that being the only job he'd ever held, and he didn't have a backup plan. Nancy, however was never worried about an exit strategy and already had plans lined up for when her husband's career came to a close.

She was his manager and Nancy had already put plans in place to open a wrestling school in Atlanta. They had even gone so far as to give it a name and have a logo designed, and Sandra confesses that she has about 500 "Benoit Academy" t-shirts sitting around somewhere.

But Chris wasn't ready for that physically or emotionally, and she thinks his fear regarding that started boiling over into their personal life.
