AEW was saved the earth being entirely scorched for a few months following the explosive promo battle between Hangman Page and CM Punk, but the latter defeating the former for the belt only to get injured on the post-Double Or Nothing edition of Dynamite delayed what turned out to be a bleak inevitability.

At the Quake By The Lake special edition of Dynamite in August, CM Punk returned to save Jon Moxley from an Inner Circle beatdown and set up their Champion Vs Interim Champion feud to lead into and main event of the upcoming All Out pay-per-view.

But Punk had kept a receipt for his former rival.
