19 Wrestlers From Raw's Debut Year Who Are No Longer With Us
8. Doink
Those who know their WWE will know that the Doink character is trotted out every so often for comedy segments. It is pretty common knowledge that there have been many wrestlers who have played the character, however few played it quite as well as Matt Osborne. Osborne played Doink during the characters initial incarnation as an evil clown and did a great job with a slightly dodgy gimmick. Doinks misdeeds actually made for entertaining television and it helped that Osborne was a good wrestler in his own right, which lent the character a little bite to go with the bark. Like a number of people on this list, Osborne suffered from issues with drugs. These issues led to him being let go by the WWE soon after the characters face turn and he continued to struggle with them over the course of his career. Osborne eventually died of an accidental overdose in 2013 at the age of 55.
