19 Wrestlers From Raw's Debut Year Who Are No Longer With Us
7. Crush
Crush never quite reached the heights that some inside the WWE seemed to hope he would. After an inauspicious start as the third member of Demolition, Crush resurfaced with a gimmick as an easy-going Hawaiian that the company were clearly looking to position as one of their top babyfaces. Despite featuring heavily during that first year of Raw, including a heel turn that eventually saw him do battle with Randy Savage, Crush never quite caught on with the fans. He was later jailed and resurfaced under a biker gimmick before forming KroniK in WCW with Bryan Clark. A spinal injury eventually led Crush, whose real name was Brian Adams, to quit wrestling and for a time he worked as a bodyguard for Randy Savage. Unfortunately he was found unconscious in bed by his wife in 2007 and later died as a result of ingesting a lethal cocktail of prescription medication at the age of 43.
