19 Wrestlers From Raw's Debut Year Who Are No Longer With Us

16. Captain Lou Albano

Captain Lou Albano was renowned as one of the greatest managers in the history of the industry long before RAW debuted, laying claim to having managed more WWE Tag Team Champions than anyone else. However, he only played a fairly minor role during the first year of Raw Initially showing up as part of a special return segment, Lou would remain under the radar for a while before eventually appearing as the manager of The Smoking Gunns for a very brief period. He wouldn€™t leave any further marks on that first year but eventually played a part in the Headshrinkers face turn in 1994 and would manage them to the WWE Tag Team Championship in 1994. Albano died a year after penning his autobiography, suffering a massive heart attack in 2009 at the age of 76.
