19 WWE Extras Who Became World Champion

Let's just get this out of the way early.

While many may not technically class the NXT Championship as a world title, the fact it's the top strap on one of the biggest brands in wrestling currently means it just about qualifies for this list.

And with that in mind, before they were seen kicking all of the ass as the top champ in developmental, Bron Breakker, Carmelo Hayes, and Trick Williams joined the many before them to have played the part of tough-looking security guard.

Breakker actually did this a number of times before lifting the NXT Championship, being present when the aforementioned Adam Cole and Kyle O'Reilly went at it on August 10, 2021's edition of the black and gold show and getting choked out by Samoa Joe during an August 3, 2021 segment with Karrion Kross.

Williams would also be involved in both of those segments as a member of security, with Hayes also getting physical a few months earlier during a March scuffle between Cole and William Regal.

In order to wear that NXT gold, you have to do your time as a protector of the people, it seems.
