11. Tommaso Ciampa

He may be classed as one of the greatest NXT Champions of all time and still one of the most intense workers on the WWE roster to this day, but there was once a time when the fierce Tommaso Ciampa was anything but on WWE TV.

13 years before lifting Goldie for the very first time on the black and gold brand, Ciampa actually found himself stood opposite 'The Phenom' inside of a WWE ring. Not as a wrestler, though.

Nope, instead the up-and-coming worker was thrown into a suit and told to pretend to be one of Muhammad Hussan's lawyers.

Why? Well, this all went down one week on from the infamous terrorist angle involving The Undertaker being targeted by Hussan's masked men which aired a day after the 7/7 London bombings, with UPN eventually calling for the Hussan character to be taken off TV.

So, to get around his absence, WWE had Ciampa's Thomas Whitney, ESQ explain why Hussan wouldn't be appearing on the blue show.

That segment obviously didn't end too well for the future NXT champ, with the "lawyer" receiving a chokeslam and tombstone for his troubles.
