19 WWE Extras Who Became World Champion
10. Sheamus
This Irish star would eventually go on to not just produce banger after banger (after banger) on the WWE stage for an impressive 15 years, but also lift world championship gold on a number of occasions throughout his time on the main roster.
A few years before conquering John Cena for his first WWE Championship, though, Sheamus would become one of the latest hungry performers to appear on Raw as a member of security, with the violent powerhouse ejecting and eventually clashing with D-Generation X on the November 13, 2006 edition of the show.
Joined by Wade Barrett that night at a then-Manchester Evening News Arena, with both men going through a tryout that day, the two future WWE superstars would try their best to keep Triple H and Shawn Michaels under control. However, Sheamy ended up eating his first of many pedigrees from a star he'd eventually fight at WrestleMania XXVI.
Interestingly enough, it turns out another eventual world champion in Drew McIntyre was actually supposed to be involved in these segments that night, too. But after being told he looked too much like a wrestler and would need to chop his hair off, Drew refused and was kept in the back.
