2 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Deadly Draw: Women's Tag Team Tournament (Aug 17)

2. The Nightmare Sisters vs. Big Swole & Lil' Swole

This was a Jekyll and Hyde bout that was totally fine whenever Allie was working against either Swole, but was unfortunately diminished by her partner's poor performance. Brandi's wasn't good here. She rarely looks like a natural between the ropes, though her stodginess was particularly pronounced as she wrestled the Swoles, lowlighted by a wack Superkick spot that Lil' Swole still sold for a two-count. Disruptive stuff all round, only strengthening the oft-exaggerated criticism that this tournament was established to highlight one of its least complete performers.

The finish wasn't bad. Britt Baker pulled a distraction by yelling at Big Swole with a megaphone, allowing Allie to hit her finisher and score the pinfall. AEW doesn't do these conclusions often and it makes for an effective way to continue that singles feud, with Swole and Baker likely to wrestle at All Out.
