2 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Deadly Draw: Women's Tag Team Tournament (Aug 17)

1. The Right Finals?

Probably, yes.

While Nicole Savoy (Lil' Swole) looked like the best pure wrestler in this tournament, Diamante and Ivelisse are a fine team with chemistry, complementary styles, and solid work. They can absolutely hold their own in a spotlight like this. Allie and Brandi Rhodes have name value and recognition, meanwhile. The matches haven't always clicked, but at least people know who they are.

It'll be interesting to see how much time this bout gets on Dynamite. The best we can hope for is a breakout performance from Ivelisse and Diamante, both of whom could play roles in the AEW women's division going forward, though this is by no means guaranteed. Still, the scene needs depth. These two can provide it.
