2. LA Knight’s Intro

LA Knight
WWE

YEAH!

LA Knight was the perfect choice to kick things off and sprint through a few 2023 moments like The Rock's return or CM Punk appearing after almost 10 years in the wilderness (what's an AEW?!). The babyface's overall energy was higher than almost everybody else tasked with recording something for this year end edition.

One of the best moments came when LA asked cameras: "What, am I Kayla Braxton?". That got a pop from this fan, and it's fair to say Knight did about as good as WWE could've reasonably expected. The man has chemistry for days, and he was 100% better than studio hosts Corey Graves and Jackie Redmond.

That's not actually meant to be a dig at those guys. They're good at what they do, but neither Graves nor Redmond had anything interesting to say at all. Their own to-camera bits were time killing exercises and nothing else. Meanwhile, LA Knight brought some much-needed excitement.
