2 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage (Dec 1 - Results & Review)

It hurts to slap a 'Down' on this one.

This guy is an unashamed Stinger mark, but even he was looking around wondering aloud why this in-ring promo was even on TV. Sting and Ric Flair literally had nothing new to say. So, Ric name-dropped some NWA legends, and Sting remembered wrestling Bam Bam Bigelow in the building. That was about it.

If you saw Dynamite, then you saw this. It was almost identical to the flagship promo, albeit with the backdrop of a live audience who did some "wooing" to keep themselves entertained. Yep, pointless stuff. AEW wants to put the icon in front of select markets possibly for the last time, which is sweet, but they need to remember they're producing television too.

This wasn't great TV. Far from it. If Sting fancied saying goodbye to Minneapolis, then he could've done so off camera exclusively for the house. Fingers crossed some segments are in the works that actually reveal what the Stinger will be doing come Revolution, because we're spinning wheels here already.
