2 Ups & 4 Downs From This Week's Impact Wrestling (Feb 22)

Ups...

2. Justice For Tessa

In recent weeks, this column has been fairly critical of the rivalry between Tessa Blanchard and Knockouts Champion Taya Valkyrie. Nothing against the matches themselves, but rather the length of the rivalry. It didn't have that much behind it, and so it just shouldn't have went on for as long as it did. With that in the rearview mirror now though, Tessa's got new intentions.

She interfered in a bout between Alisha Edwards and the debuting Delilah Doom to cause a no contest, demolishing both women in her way. It wasn't anything too over the top and it wasn't particularly underwhelming - it slipped right in between, which is where it needed to be. It didn't harm Alisha or Delilah at all, and it furthered the development of Tessa. A win-win situation.

The next step is seeing whether or not all this does indeed lead to a match between Blanchard and the currently retired Gail Kim, something that has been teased since Homecoming at the start of January. Try and find someone who wouldn't want to watch that match.
