2 Ups & 4 Downs From This Week's Impact Wrestling (Jul 19)

1. Slammiversary Rematch Set

The main event saw the four teams who were victorious in the MashUp Tournament collide in an Elimination Match to see which two names would advance forward to a World Championship #1 contenders match. Simple, right?

Sami Callihan and Tessa Blanchard won this one, outlasting Eddie Edwards and Moose, Michael Elgin and Willie Mack, and Jake Crist and Wentz to advance to the next match. A small touch, but having Tessa gain the final elimination over Jake Crist makes it feel that extra bit personal with her and Sami - who knows, maybe it could cause some tension within the ranks of oVe?

Unquestionably, the right team won here. Callihan and Blanchard's Slammiversary main event was truly out of this world, and the second outing will surely be no different. They've still got plenty of animosity between them as evidenced throughout their two matches on the episode, and are capable of putting together something unique that everyone will remember.

Regardless of who now becomes the next challenger to 'The Machine', we can all agree that it'll be another slugfest between the duo.
