2 Ups & 5 Downs From This Week's Impact Wrestling (Mar 1)
4. What Happens In Vegas...
It's been mentioned before that Impact rarely use legends, but when they do, it's typically for good a reason. Well, that wasn't really the case here, as Tommy Dreamer saved Willie Mack from a beatdown at the hands of the Crist brothers then challenged the siblings to a tag match then and there.
There's no reason whatsoever as to why this happened. Why did Tommy Dreamer of all people intervene himself into the business of Mack and the Crists? The Innovator of Violence hasn't had any history in Impact with any of the guys involved, and merely added confusion when he strolled to ringside.
He wasn't exactly saving Mack either. Chocolate Thunder had just wrestled a match, and so would've been tired, especially considering he was also on the receiving end of a beatdown post-match. Mack and Dreamer were victorious anyway, but that's beside the point just now. If Impact wants to use guys like Tommy Dreamer, at least have them used in a logical angle. Otherwise, it comes across as nothing more than a cheap attention grab.
