2 Ups & 5 Downs From This Week's Impact Wrestling (Mar 1)

3. You Don't Need Hardcore

Eli Drake
Impact Wrestling

Another episode of Impact means another time when Eli Drake is a hypocrite. He's quite possibly the worst booked wrestler in Impact at the moment. This time last year, he'd not long lost the World Championship to Austin Aries. Now, he can't make up his mind on whether or not he's a fan of hardcore wrestling.

This week saw him tell Eddie Edwards that he doesn't need to live by the hardcore style, and instead just needs to be like the old Eddie. Despite hitting the former American Wolf with Kenny the kendo stick a few weeks back, Drake tried to persuade Edwards to team with him. Yeah, good luck with that Eli.

Right now, there's no clear cut ending for this rivalry by the looks of things. They could get together and head for the tag team division. They could also remain on opposing sides of the ring and beat each other black and blue. The only thing that needs to be cleared up as soon as possible is what side Eli Drake sits on when it comes to liking/disliking hardcore wrestling. It's an easy choice to make.
