2 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Aug 27)
4. Nobody Cares About Naomi
This was weird, and counterproductive.
Naomi bounced into view and chirpily told Sonya Deville that she was pleased to be back on SmackDown. Sonya's response? Totally ignoring the Glow-obsessed babyface and continuing to chat away on WhatsApp (probably) as poor Naomi stood there like an unwanted goof.
There are two problems with this. Firstly, Sonya isn't SmackDown's main authority figure. Adam Pearce is, so why wasn't he present to counter-balance Deville's disinterest? Second, it's certainly brave to bury Naomi on screen and pretty much reveal that WWE management don't give a rat's ass about her move from Raw to SmackDown.
If no-one cares, then why bother to put this on television? Seriously, you'd think this promotion wanted to make their wrestlers look foolish sometimes. This kind of skit is useless, and it just comes across as a waste of TV time.
