2 Ups & 7 Downs From WWE SmackDown (6 March)

3. Chamber Without The Chamber?

When WWE announced that every single tag-team competing inside Elimination Chamber this Sunday would do so first on SmackDown, your writer raised his eyebrows. When they then revealed that it'd be a gauntlet match, he groaned. This was too similar to what fans will see over the weekend.

The Chamber is effectively a gauntlet with a twist (that twist being the huge cage and all the pain that comes with it). That SmackDown Tag Title Chamber match is also one of the only big matches on the pay-per-view, and WWE sort of/almost/pretty much decided to give it away for free here.

It's like they realised they had nothing for the show, had a massive 45-50 minute hole in the format sheets and thought, 'let's just toss out a preview'. The gauntlet was very bit as good as the Chamber bout probably will be, and that's counterproductive. Fans have already seen these teams go at it elimination style before Sunday.

Literally all of them.
