2 Ups & 7 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Feb 4)

1. That Hot Main Event Tag

WWE just stumbled upon a home run hitter for later in the year. If they don't book New Day vs. Los Lotharios in a SmackDown Tag Title feud in 2022, then they're simply not paying attention. This main event was really, really good, and it showed what Angel and Humberto can do together if they're treated with respect.

Instead of, y'know, being jobbed out in less than two minutes.

The romantic heels (now there's a descriptor!) matched Kofi Kingston and Big E all the way before eventually taking the loss. There's no shame in dropping to defeat here - Lotharios got their sh*t in and were presented as a proper tag-team for arguably the first time. They must be happy with how they came across.

How the pair follows up on this will be key. If Angel and Humberto go back to jobbing for The Viking Raiders next week, then this will be wasted effort. If not, then WWE could have its next heel champions set. They're that good in-ring.
