5. Becky Lynch

SummerSlam 2018 was a career-making night for Becky Lynch, and with the past six months transforming her from plucky also-ran to potential WrestleMania 35 headliner, it's hard to view her as anything other than the main roster's hottest commodity at the moment.

'The Man' is a brilliant wrestling character. Perfect, even. In carrying herself with the confidence and swagger of a dozen performers, Becky elevates everything she does. We stay glued to her not only because of what she does, but who she is, and while 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin is an entirely appropriate comparison, Lynch stands out on her own as a fully-formed antihero.

Becky's promos have reached the stage where she could probably read her shopping list and make it one of the most compelling things on any given show. She has shone in heated, hard-hitting matches with Charlotte Flair and Asuka, and is at least partly responsible for overseeing the division's stylistic transition towards. On top of all this, she always meets or exceeds the audience's high expectations of her, and that's no mean feat in WWE's heavily-scripted world.

A better example of "grabbing the brass ring" you won't find. Lynch deserves every accolade that comes her way.
