No non-WWE wrestler has generated more buzz than Kenny Omega over the past 12 months, and after tying his future down to NJPW for the foreseeable future, 2018 promises to be another epic year for the world's most forward-thinking wrestler.

'The Cleaner' is a wrestling genius. He doesn't just want to be seen as the best in the world, but somebody who pushes the envelope, both inside the ring and out. Omega does this not only by coming up with fresh, unique spots and sequences, but also through his unparalleled ability to work the masses. The man just gets it. Yes, his matches with The Young Bucks get a little goofy, but he always delivers in a big spotlight, and his dedication to his craft is unmatched.

His name currently sits atop many fans' WWE wishlists, but there's little chance we'll see Omega in Stanford anytime soon. Currently positioned at the heart of NJPW's US expansion, he's in the perfect place, with New Japan's increased creative freedom allowing Kenny to express himself in ways that may not be possible in WWE. Expect him to remain there for the foreseeable future, and to keep pushing the promotion forward in its quest for increased global exposure.
