20 Best TNA Wrestlers Ever
6. Gail Kim
Gail Kim and Awesome Kong.
Those are the two greatest women wrestlers to ever step in a TNA ring. If the company had protected their Knockouts Division for years, then there would be many more women on this list. But really, only Kong and Kim were protected and pushed for a lengthy period of time on Impact. Blame the company for that.
While Kim did start off in WWE, she feels like a TNA original. While she added to the product as soon as she joined, it was her work with Kong that really got fans taking notice of just how good women’s wrestling could be. Up until that point, women's matches in WWE and even TNA had largely been portrayed more as softcore porn than it did an actual wrestling match. Then things changed, and for a time women were pushed as legitimate as the men on Impact, and they made the Divas division look archaic in the process.
Kim did leave TNA for a bit, but that’s only because the company refused to pay her a decent wage. She was basically forced into becoming a Diva once more. Luckily she returned, and has anchored the Knockouts ever since. She absolutely deserves to be the in the company’s Hall of Fame and if anything, it’s actually an overdue move.
When it comes to the Knockouts Division, no one comes close to Gail Kim in terms of putting on great matches and overall importance. It’s really hard to imagine the division without her.
