20 Best TNA Wrestlers Ever

5. Bobby Roode

Before he was glorious, Bobby Roode was pretty damn solid in TNA.

Joining the company in 2004, he became one of their hardest working, most reliable and respected wrestlers to ever step in their ring. He started from the bottom, though, as he ran with Team Canada for a few years before breaking out on his own, but still couldn't quite get over.

It was a tag team with fellow struggling singles act James Storm that took both men to that next level, and made them two of the most entertaining wrestlers around. As Beer Money, they were a blast, and became arguably the greatest team TNA has ever had. But all good things must end, and Roode broke off onto his own. This time he excelled.

One of the biggest storyline mistakes the company ever made was not giving Roode that big push as a babyface, by putting him over Kurt Angle at Bound for Glory 2011. While he still went on to become the longest running TNA Heavyweight Champion ever as a heel, he still wasn’t often treated as the best the company had to offer. Despite a lack of effort on management's end, he continued to deliver every time out until the end of his run there.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
