20 Best TNA Wrestlers Ever

1. A.J. Styles

You could probably make a fair case for a couple of names being the greatest TNA wrestler of all-time. But no one else had the support of the fans throughout like A.J. did, and perhaps only Kurt Angle can rival him in brilliant matches. What gives Styles the victory here is that he entered the company years before Angle, even if he bolted shortly before The Olympic Gold medalist did.

For years, fans were screaming that Styles should have been the guy TNA built around. While he was their Heavyweight Champion on a few occasions, the company never, ever felt comfortable pushing him as their biggest star. So while Angle and Sting were usually positioned ahead of him on the pecking order, it was A.J. that the fans wanted as "their guy." It was a colossal mistake that was obvious years ago.

When Styles left TNA, it hurt more than perhaps any other release, as it felt like the company lost a big part of their identity. He’s currently killing it in WWE, but for those who never watched much of Impact, he did some amazing work there that should definitely be checked out.

If TNA sticks around, it will be years before anyonetops A.J. Styles as the best wrestler they’ve ever had.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
