20 Best TNA Wrestlers Ever

15. Jeff Jarrett

When TNA was founded, Jeff Jarrett likely helped set the entire thing up so he could one day be number one on a list like this.

In his mind (and his father’s), he was vastly underutilized in the WWF, and if only given the right opportunity, he could show that he’s just as good as Triple H, and deserved to be built around. Because of that thinking, TNA was greatly hindered from growing at a faster pace in their early years.

Okay, so that’s the bad stuff. If we look at the positive side of Jeff Jarrett in TNA, the man was a pretty reliable worker. He had good matches with a lot of big names, and delivered a few standout performances into his 40s against Kurt Angle.

Once he got over positioning himself as the end-all-be-all on Impact, he was an effective role-player/owner type figure and started to earn the respect of the fans. He also had quite the entertaining run as an MMA-like fighter late in his career.

Jarrett’s legacy in TNA will always be greatly tarnished due to some insane levels of over-exposure. But if not for him, we wouldn't have had any of the great wrestlers the company gave us, and we wouldn’t have had any of his great in-ring work either.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
