20 Best Women's Wrestlers In The World Today

10. Nixon Newell

An ill-timed ACL injury sadly robbed Nixon Newell of the opportunity to compete in the Mae Young Classic. This is a huge shame not only for her, but also the swathes of WWE fans who were denied the opportunity to get to know Britain’s best women’s wrestler, who would’ve likely embarked upon a deep tournament run had she been cleared to compete.

Nonetheless, fans should expect Nixon to become a major star upon returning. She’s an outstanding all-rounder, and at 22 years of age, she might just be the Performance Center’s brightest young prospect.

A tough, resilient competitor, Newell’s infectious charisma and personality catch the eye above all else, but she’s a tremendous wrestler too. She’s not as polished as the Toni Storms of the world, but her athleticism and technique are advanced well beyond her years, and it won’t be long before she’s pulling off ****+ matches at NXT TakeOver events.

ACL injuries are tricky, but she’s in the best possible place to not only recover, but come back stronger. Expect Nixon to become an immediate hit when she finally debuts in WWE developmental.
