18. Piper Niven

One of the Mae Young Classic’s biggest breakout stars, Piper Niven entered WWE’s long-awaited women’s tournament with modest expectations, but knocked each one of them out of the park. Her bouts with Santana Garrett, Serena Deeb, and Toni Storm were among the best the tourney had to offer, boosting the Scot’s reputation, and all but ensuring a full-time WWE contract sometime in her future.

Still only 26 years old, there’s plenty of time for Niven to jump into the mainstream. In the meantime, fans can catch her competing for companies like Stardom and ICW, where she’s almost always booked like a big deal.

In terms of skills, Niven brings an imposing power game to the table, but the MYC showed that her repertoire is a lot more comprehensive than many (including the JR/Lita commentary team) give her credit for. As well as being a great bumper and seller, Niven is agile and technically sound, meaning that while she still has bags of unfulfilled potential, she’s already among the best in the world, and somebody who’s more than ready for a bigger spotlight.
