20 Best Women's Wrestlers In The World Today

19. Charlotte Flair

Having been crowned number one contender to Natalya’s SmackDown Women’s Championship earlier this week, there’s a good chance we’ll soon see gold around Charlotte Flair’s waist again.

It’s nothing less than deserved. ‘The Queen’ has wallowed in the midcard since arriving from Raw, but carried the red brand’s division for long periods last year, mostly through her outstanding rivalry with Sasha Banks. This feud brought out the best in Charlotte both inside the ring and out, though she’s rarely had a chance to flex her skills on Tuesday nights.

This is a shame, because the second generation star has improved immensely over the past couple of years. She plays babyface at the moment, but she’s a tremendous heel, and one of only a handful of performers capable of drawing legitimate heat in 2017. In the ring, too, Charlotte is lightyears ahead of her green early days, though she still has some rough edges, and often looks clumsy when executing risky spots.

Still, it’s hard to argue her status as one of the best in the company. Here’s hoping her new number one contender’s status sees Charlotte thrust back into the spotlight.
