14. Ember Moon

When it came to ending Asuka’s lengthy NXT Women’s Title reign, consensus was that Ember Moon would be the one to rise up and conquer ‘The Empress Of Tomorrow.’ This didn’t come to pass. Unfortunately, the former Athena just didn’t click as the top babyface, and was unsuccessful in her two TakeOver matches against the champ.

Her character work remains stunted and awkward, but regardless, Ember is one of the best workers in the company. Though her stunning Eclipse finishing move understandably gets all the attention, she’s an extremely well-rounded worker with strong fundamentals, good technique, and elite-level athleticism. She also shows great fire when the bell rings, and while this charisma doesn’t always translate on the microphone, she has no problem projecting between the ropes.

With Kairi Sane now on the scene, it’s widely assumed that Ember will turn heel to feud with the Mae Young Classic winner over the Women’s Title. Here’s hoping this direction gives Ember’s character the spark it needs to take off, as she has all the other tools required to eventually become a major player on the main roster.
