15. Rosemary

Global Force Wrestling’s Rosemary’s 2017 will ultimately be defined by the Sexy Star incident at AAA TripleMania. The two were competing as part of a four-way match when the former Lucha Underground Champion needless locked Rosemary in a shoot armbar after the bell had rang. It was a disgusting moment, and one that Star has rightly been chastised for, from which Rosemary was lucky to escape without serious injury.

We shouldn’t let this one terrible moment eclipse the rest of her year, though. Rosemary has carried her home promotion’s Knockouts division for long periods over the past 12 months, and she’s one of the most unique performers in the business, with her zombified ‘Demon Assassin’ gimmick helping her stand out from the likes of Sienna and Laurel Van Ness.

On the subject of Sienna, she and Rosemary had an excellent Last Knockout Standing match earlier in the year, and the ‘Demon Assassin’s’ series of bouts against Jade (Mia Yim) stand among GFW’s best of 2017. Rosemary is tremendous, and with any luck, she’ll be able to use the unwanted Sexy Star attention to propel herself into an even bigger role.
