17. Eddie Guerrero & Tajiri vs. Team Angle (Judgment Day 2003)
Definitely one of the more unlikely candidates on this list, partly due to the fact that it was never really supposed to happen, the Ladder Match which stole the show at Judgment Day in 2003 truly deserves a place on any list exploring the best the gimmick bout has to offer. Chavo Guerrero had went down with an injury, forcing WWE to replace him with someone else for the match. Los Guerreros were an awesome team, but Eddie Guerrero and Tajiri proved to be a pretty nifty tandem also. Going up against the well-gelled Team Angle, comprised of Charlie Haas and Shelton Bejamin, the makeshift challengers for the WWE Tag-Team Titles would amazingly come out on top, capturing the gold. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x1vz3l_eddie-guerreo-and-tajiri-vs-team-an_sport When people discuss the best ladder-based contests in wrestling history, it's rare to see this one come up on any lists. It's understandable, given that the addition of Chavo may have helped make it seem more "perfect", with both teams complete, but Tajiri was no shoddy backup plan, and the action was smooth and crisp throughout all 15 minutes or so of this one.
