20 Best Wrestling Ladder Matches Ever

15. Jeff Hardy vs. Austin Aries (TNA Turning Point 2012)

Making his first, but certainly not his last, appearance on this list, it almost seems as though Jeff Hardy was born to thrill fans in the context of a Ladder Match. A fearless daredevil of a man, the younger Hardy sibling is ready to put everything on the line any time he's tasked with putting on such a display of aerial acrobatics and drama. Even though it happened years after his initial performances in WWF/WWE, Jeff was still doing his thing in 2012, albeit under the TNA banner. Having been shunted up the card, Austin Aries had shown himself to be immensely popular with fans. Even though the ratings didn't really reflect his popularity, there have been bigger stars than Aries who have failed to jump start TNA into life as a true money-making organisation, so it'd be unfair to judge him on anything other than match quality, which was very high. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GOsd7v9IyeY Never was that more evident than in the main event of the Turning Point 2012 Pay-Per-View, one of the last before TNA drastically cut down their supershow schedule. Going over 20 minutes, both men produced quite the stunner, and it even felt different to main event Ladder Matches in WWE, which is exactly what TNA should have been gunning for as a promotion since they came to be. Regardless of that argument, Austin Aries and Jeff Hardy should be commended for their work.
