20 Best Wrestling Tag Team Matches Ever

3. The Dudley Boyz Vs. The Hardy Boyz Vs. Edge & Christian (TLC II - WWE WrestleMania X7)

TLC II remains the ultimate pro-wrestling stunt show. Taking place on arguably the greatest WWE event of all-time (WrestleMania X7), it was 16 minutes of beautiful, uncontrollable chaos, furthering the breakneck pace set at SummerSlam 2000, but somehow escalating the insanity. Not a single moment was wasted, and the match remains the apex of the Dudleyz/Hardys/Edge & Christian era of tag wrestling.

There wasn’t much grappling going on, but that wasn't what you were paying for. Each of the bout’s six participants took at least one huge bump, and when Lita, Rhyno, and Spike Dudley got involved, they weren’t safe from the violence either. From that Spear to the multi-table spot towards the end of the match, TLC II is packed with incredible moments from start to finish, making it the greatest “holy s***” tag contest of all-time.

Jeff Hardy’s fumbled ladder-walk spot aside, there was absolutely nothing to complain about. Very few matches legitimately change the course of the business, but this one certainly did, and tag wrestling has never been as hot as it was that night in Houston. WWE haven’t held a TLC match that comes close to it since, and in all likelihood, they never will.
