The 20 Best WWE Pro Wrestlers Of 2014

9. Roman Reigns

Last year placed 13 The Big Dog has had a breakout 2014. His dominant performance at the Royal Rumble was captivating, with Reigns setting a new elimination record of 12. He was part of the brilliant six man at Elimination Chamber, which pitted The Shield against The Wyatt Family. Admittedly, the other men carried the bulk of the action, but Reigns is fantastic in what he does do. Yes, it is usually short and sweet, but he's great in timing and delivery. His key spots, like the superman punch and spear, are punctuated with an intuitive connection to the crowd. More great matches came, particularly the contests with Evolution. The end of that story came when Seth Rollins turned heel, which resulted in Reigns being pushed hard as the new singles star babyface. He was part of the 4 way main event for the WWE Title at Battleground and then had a good match with Randy Orton at SummerSlam. Injury ruled him out for the end of the year, but he spent his time away well, taking upon acting lessons and working on his 'Big Dog' character. He's now primed for a star making year in 2015, with WWE planning to make him the Royal Rumble winner and WWE Champion over Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 31. Highlight of the year: Setting a new eliminations record at Royal Rumble.
