The 20 Best WWE Pro Wrestlers Of 2014

7. Dolph Ziggler

Last year placed 6 A slight drop off for Dolph Ziggler, who spent most of 2014 as a rarely utilised jobber. There had obviously been some backstage heat with management, as Dolph rarely got TV time. When he did, it was two minute losses. Things started to turn midway through the year. He got to compete in the Money In The Bank Ladder match, which was a great showcase for his athletic skill. From there, WWE got a bit of faith back, and Ziggler started getting more regular TV time. This all resulted in Dolph winning the Intercontinental Title from The Miz at SummerSlam, and he's been involved in that mid-card title scene ever since. There's been some great showings in Dolph's return to prominence. His title defence against Tyson Kidd and Cesaro at the November Smackdown taping in Liverpool was fantastic. Then came his standout performance in the main event of Survivor Series, where WWE made him the sole survivor and victor over Seth Rollins' Authority team. Finishing up with a match of the night performance at TLC, over Luke Harper in a ladder match, you have to say that things are looking up for Ziggler headed into 2015. He has all the ability in the world when he gets in the ring, all we need now is WWE to fully pull on the trigger on the Shawn Michaels-esque performer. Highlight of the year: Sole survivor at Survivor Series 2014 main event.
