In the wake of Eddie Guerrero's tragic death, fans were almost willing Rey Mysterio to the World Heavyweight Championship - although those hopes looked dashed when he entered the 2006 Royal Rumble at number 2. Thanks to some smart strategy (a display of equally smart booking from WWE, who simply couldn't portray Mysterio as a dominant ass-kicker), the Latino underdog found himself in a final showdown with Randy Orton.
