In the midst of a feud with Jake Roberts, it emerged that Andre The Giant was deathly afraid of snakes (even suffering a small kayfabe heart attack at one stage). Never one to look a gift horse in the mouth, Jake took full advantage in the 1989 Rumble, bringing his trusty snake down to the ring and scaring Andre clean out of the match.
