9. Grandmaster Sexay
If you fancy a quick giggle, then boot up the 2000 Royal Rumble wherever such goods are sold and just listen to Jerry Lawler excitedly shouting: "IT'S GRANDMASTER SEXAY" as his own son Brian Christopher dad dances to ringside. Here's hoping Jerry didn't do that when his boy was growing up, but who knows; maybe Grandmaster was a character Bri concocted when play-wrestling in the garden.
OK, it wasn't. It was part of Vince Russo's plan to direct hatred towards Sexay and his partner Scotty 2 Hotty for daring to be anything but Too Cool. They were meant to be an outdated counterpoint to the super-hip Hardy Boys Matt and Jeff in the late-1990s and early-2000s, but something special and unexpected happened.
Too Cool got over. Like, they really got over.
Fans loved what they were seeing from the pair, especially when Grandmaster and Scotty linked up with rump-shaking super-heavyweight Rikishi. Their knowingly prehistoric style and dance moves turned Too Much from a going-nowhere heel act into Too Cool, and the WWF ran with it for as long as they could.
Think about Christopher's name though: Grandmaster Sexay. He was the literal apex of sexy. No, not just a black belt of sexy - the f'n Grandmaster of it. It's a wonder anyone could concentrate on Too Cool's dancing or matches due to that lofty status Sexay held.
Seriously though, it was just a good laugh and everyone was in on it. Hearing Jim Ross sell real peril during tags ("Grandmaster Sexay is in real trouble") was always great.
